About Our Ranch
Ridenour Ranch is a 98-acre ranch located in the foothills of northwest North Carolina. We raise alpaca, llama, goats, sheep, ponies, chickens, hogs and beef cattle. When we took on this adventure we set out to create a small self-sustaining agricultural business. Most small family farms have not been able to survive the pressures of corporate farms; our Ranch is a part of the North Carolina Agritourism Network. This is a network of farms and ranches that invite guests to visit their locations and to see directly where and how crops and animal are raised.
We offer alpaca products made from the fiber we harvest from our animals. We also sell beef and pork meat from the animals we raise. We have several events throughout the year, like our Shearing Day Event where you can watch the alpacas and llamas getting their annual haircut. We also have a fall festival, Picking in the Pumpkin Patch, where we sell pumpkins grown on the Ranch and provide hay rides and other fun activities.
Want to get a feel for living on the farm? You can now book a stay as a guest at our beautiful cabin.
So if you are in the area, please stop by, we would love to show you around!
